Employment:

1968 – 1974 – research assistant at the Department of Chemistry, University of  Warsaw.
1974 – 1990 – assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of  Warsaw.
1990 – 1996 –position of associate professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of  Warsaw.
1996 – 2004 – position of extraordinary professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of  Warsaw.
2005 – position of ordinary professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of  Warsaw.
1992 – 1999 –  Vice-Dean of the Department of Chemistry of Warsaw University.

Education:

1968 – M.Sc. in physical chemistry at Department of Chemistry, University of Warsaw.
1973 – Ph.D. Thesis: “Influence of electrolytes on the reactivity of acetone?
1986 – D.Sc. at  Department of Chemistry, University of Warsaw (habilitation), Thesis: “ Vibrational spectroscopy of amide solutions?.
1998 – Title of professor (full Professor in Chemistry)

Teaching experience:

Lectures on molecular spectroscopy for students of chemistry and biology.
Lectures on modern techniques in vibrational spectroscopy.
Laboratories on physical chemistry and molecular spectroscopy.

Research:

Vibrational spectroscopy of molecules at a metal surface – surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), surface enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS), infrared reflection spectroscopy (IRRAS). Structure of  monolayers of organic compounds adsorbed on metals.
Application of SERRS for detection of proteins immobilized on thiol – modified metal surfaces.
In situ Raman, IR and EPR studies of electropolymerisation processes and the molecular structure of electroconducting polymers.
